LiteracyLens · Revised release guidance
Your device.
Your observation workflow.
The actual LiteracyLens app runs on iPad and iPhone. The website and browser demonstration are separate.
An on-device app for classroom visits.
LiteracyLens is an installed iPad/iPhone app. Its core observation workflow and saved observation records run on the actual device. The website is not where school walkthrough records are entered or hosted.
Sorvia describes the core walkthrough workflow as designed for offline use. The revised build still needs device-level testing for saving, relaunch, interruption and recovery. On-device operation alone does not establish how every optional service behaves.
Check the boundary of each service.
Do not assume speech recognition, generated suggestions, device backups or report-sharing destinations are entirely on-device or available offline. Their paths must be verified for the released build and operating system. Typing must remain an alternative to dictation.
Opening a cloud destination in a share picker does not prove automatic application sync. A report you export may leave the device through a destination you choose.
Use only the information the walkthrough needs.
Student names and identifying information are not needed. Record classroom actions and responses without identifying learners. Temporary assessment reference data does not live in the application. Teacher roster and observation records remain sensitive school information.
Before deployment, request release-specific details on access, local persistence, encryption, backups, recovery, deletion, speech processing, diagnostics and sharing. This page does not certify FERPA/COPPA compliance or an encryption implementation.
The browser demonstration is separate.
The older browser demo uses browser-local fictional records and simulated licensing. It is not the native app and does not establish native offline behavior, speech processing, production licensing or cross-device sync. Its entry point is paused in this review package while the revised release is being implemented.
